Skyroot Aerospace, India’s first private rocket company, has unveiled their Vikram-1 Orbital Launch Vehicle! Marking a big milestone for the Indian space industry as it brings India one step closer to a future where space is accessible to everyone. Vikram-1 is a small-lift launch vehicle that’s designed to carry small satellites into orbit. It’s a reusable rocket, which means that it can be launched multiple times, reducing the cost of spaceflight. Skyroot Aerospace is planning to launch Vikram-1 in early 2023. If successful, it will be the first private rocket to launch from India.
