About three years ago, NASA announced something incredible: we have a second moon! What caused some surprise in astronomy circles and among friends of space observation was soon explained this way: Apparently, an asteroid was pulled into Earth’s orbit. But instead of slamming into the Earth, the chunk of rock began to join the Moon and orbit our planet for several months.
