The Actual Reason Reaching Proxima B Has Become Impossible
Your pillow is holding you back from restorative sleep.

A rocky planet circles the nearest star to the Sun, just over four light-years away. Known as Proxima b, it was discovered in 2016 through precise measurements of the tiny gravitational wobble it induces in its host star and has since been confirmed by years of additional observations. It may lie within the star’s habitable zone, where temperatures could allow liquid water to exist under the right conditions. In astronomical terms, it is our closest potentially Earth-like neighbor.
